Living in Uncertainty: Global and Local Climate Adaptation Design
Kotchakorn Voraakhom, the founder and CEO of Bangkok-based landscape architecture firm Landprocess and the Porous City Network, shares her landscape architecture climate adaptation projects and discusses how her work tackles climate change in water-based cities by creating urban spaces that allow for the free flow and penetration of water, wind, and people.
Following the presentation, landscape architect Glenn LaRue Smith, FASLA, co-founder of PUSH Studio in Washington, D.C., and founder of the Black Landscape Architects Network, will join Kotchakorn in a conversation about the challenges of designing for climate in the DC area.
